Accessibility statement

We carry out regular tests on how the weekly bulletin meets accessibility standards.

This is done using w3.org tools – specifically Wave, a11y and Web Accessibility, among others – and gov.uk's checklist.

At the time of writing – October 2019 – the latter gives leedsbestcity.org a compliance score of 87 per cent.

Of late, we have refined the bulletin's alternate captioning, labels, contrast and links, while looking at improvements to keyboard navigation.

If you have a suggestion for further accessibility improvements, please contact Mark Travis via essentials@leeds.gov.uk.

If you are unhappy with the bulletin's accessibility standards, you can report it to the government at gov.uk. They monitor sites and enforce compliance.

This bulletin is usually produced by an individual at Leeds City Council on a Wednesday, in readiness for Thursday publication.
